I haven't seen Anting before!

I have never heard the term "Anting".

Looks like a parent carolina wren , the one actually looking for food , and two fledglings, who flap and cheep (feed me , feed Me ) when the parent does find food

I've seen videos of 'anting' and it's fascinating.

I've also seen some caged companion birds also take 'dry' baths where they'll go through all the motions of bathing but without the water. Don't know if it's a form of Anting but it's very comical.

The birds here are just trying to dry out. This little hummer was taking advantage of brief sunshine to visit the vitex tree. So was I. I apologize for so many photos. Just couldn't resist.

Too many photos? No such thing! And five is hardly what I'd call excessive.

The hummingbird photos are lovely - but the cardinal shot is WOW - amazing, love it!

I have the same problem when I take so many pictures, especially of the hummingbirds, it's hard to pick favorites!
