Very nice Lee Anne! I really like the trough with the coleus! I have that same green one in the middle, forget what its called but its quite nice! Your geraniums look really nice roo, this seems to be a good year for them. They are usually a big fail for me Blinking

I'm excited about this forum since I am currently gardening only in containers! I'll post photos once I can back home.

What a great way to grow Brugmansia Steven, I love the way you use the Impatiens as a ground cover. What will the bloom color be when they open? How do you overwinter it?

Lee Anne what is your secret to keeping coleus healthy and vibrant? Yours are beautiful. I just never seem to have any luck with them and I love them. I decided to try again this year and got 3 different ones. Hope I don't kill these. : ( I will have to get a photo of them.

Becky I forgot all about your move. Can't wait to see your new container garden. Hurray!

Here is my first summer container for the year.

I don't think I have a secret...our cool Canadian nights might have a lot to do with it. I keep them pinched so they don't get lanky. The ones in containers are doing much better than the ones in the garden proper...those in the garden are being eaten by slugs Sad

Do you give them full sun or partial? Our nights are also cool (high 50's to low 60's) in summer. I have mine in pots, otherwise they would be slug food. : (

They're lucky if they get dappled sun. I'd call it shade.

Here are two of the coleus. Looks like I will have to take them out of this pot and put them into a different one. The Gloriosa Lily needs full sun to do well. It is just starting to grow in the last week.

That's because I removed a bunch of crispy leaves from the larger chartreuse colored one. The small leaved one doesn't seem to mind the full sun.

my coleus burned up when it hit 117 last week here in Phoenix., I almost cried., and it was in the shade. How sad. Lynn, I LOVE the containers you've created! What I have right now is doing okay but I am already anticipating fall,

Geraniums should do really well for you in that climate. What else are you growing in those containers Becky?

I love night owls like you, Lynn! Hurray!

I have two Morning Glories on trellises, one is Grandpa Otts, the other is a mixture of all kinds of colors and unknown names. Neither are blooming much right now but will show off as soon as the temp drops below 100. I have an Arizona Poinsettia, African Poinsettia, two spider plants (one variegated), an air plant, oxalis, fern, three types of wandering jew and a pot of ornamental sweet potato,,,Blackie and I forget the name of the other right now. And a pot of purslane and gazinnias.

All on this small balcony along with two stacked Adirondack chairs and a metal plant stand. Hilarious! I gave sold and gave away 90% of my garden accessories when I moved. It was hard but I'm going back to school full time and working part time and I needed to downsize to save $$ for this season in my life. It is so weird not having a hose to water with!!!

Yes, the past 5 1/2 years could bring me a bundle if I wrote a book and Oprah picked it~ Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

I'm majoring in Social Work with a minor in Sociology. My first major (not finished) was marketing. My Grandparents lived past 100 and so I realize I may just have that gene and may as well make the most of it. I can clean my little place in 30 minutes, top to bottom. It has 2 baths (small) and 2 bedrooms but one I made into my studio-office.

Empty nesting was very hard at first but now I'm loving it. I always know where the scotch tape is! Hurray!

I'm taking care of a friends dog and using her PC but will post photos on Saturday afternoon. Big Grin

I have no luck with the Sun Impatiens It says full sun put in pots put on front porch got 100 to 105 weather and I have no Sun Impatiens I would like to fine something that would grow and flower in the brug containers and not take to much nutrients away from the brugs.

I have 2 trains that my son made for me that are in the entrance to my greenhouse the top the whistle part hold about a 12" pot and the bottom would hold a pretty good size very long container need some ideas as to what will take my summer heat to make these trains stand out.
