Awesome Gabe! Start planting before everything piles up! I postponed my Keppel order to be delivered the first week of August because I'll be away, boooo. Next week I'm supposed to get a box from Schreiners and Superstition, which will be A LOT of planting.

Dizzy, I can relate to Dizzy especially this time of year!!

I usually ask for mine to come later because this heat is unbearable for planting in and for the plants. Not sure when they will arrive but I have Stout, Superstition, Iris Sister's, Winterberry, Mid-America, The Shady Spot and Aitken's left. I know Aitken's will come late as I have them send the bearded when they send the Japanese/Louisiana.

I recently received my Mid-America and Winterberry orders. I haven't gone through the WInterberry box yet (other than the top layer), but from Mid-America, I got:

Blind ambition!!!! You are so lucky. New intro, costs a bunch and GORGEOUS! Keppel is my hero. I ordered from him for the first time this year. Thanks to all of you, I learned that it is actually possible to buy iris directly from him. I figured he sat on a throne somewhere dreaming of new crosses

I think Keith Keppel would get a good laugh out of that one. I don't think he's the sit on the throne kind of guy But I do think he spends a lot of time thinking about crosses, and the quality of his seedlings show that he's doing a good job of it.

The 'Mail Lady" just dropped off two boxes.......and left with two grocery bags of rhizomes (we trade !!! ). One from Tom, !, and one from Winterberry ! I'd like to plant them this afternoon, but, MAN, it's HOT out there !!!! I dug half a row of 'taters, this morning, and I thought it would "do me in"

It's rather blistering warm here. Clouds are building up.

Yeah, more hot weather with afternoon thunderstorms predicted for the entire week. I am never going to get everything done.

Fortunately it is not as hot as usual today in KY so my friend and I weeded our iris garden at the UK Arboretum this morning. It is amazing how quickly the weeds grow. Chance of rain predicted all of the rest of the week.

Got a trade box today from Lbsmitty and got them in the ground I was looking through my lists and I have a LOT of work ahead of me
