I know cape fuchsias are a misnomer so maybe I should go to a penstemon forum, but I figured I'd ask here first! If I want to encourage a cape fuchsia to rebloom, do I just snip the spent blooms or do I cut the entire stalk back?

Thanks for your time!

Welcome to NGA, Joolie.

I just remove the top of the stalk, where the blooms are, and leave the rest.

Thanks very much! I'm loving these things and want to make sure they keep blooming like crazy. The hummingbirds are already kind of impatient for new blooms. They love my other fuchsias, but these are particularly beloved -- to the point where they even perch there. Lovey dubby
