this get 8-10 ft tall or more with daisy type yellow flowers
it isn't cut leaf coneflower for the leaves are Much bigger & Stalks Much larger .
these leaves are 8-10 " long or wide .

The only other tall one that comes to my mind is Bear's-foot (Smallanthus uvedalia) which is a Michigan native but the leaves don't seem to match.

The leaves look like mugwort to me, but daisy like flowers wouldn't fit with that.

How are the daisy flowers arranged? Are they in tall spikes, umbels, individual etc?

There's Rudbeckia laciniata 'Herbstsonne'

If the flower looks like this then I would say it's closer to the species Rudbeckia laciniata.
