I planted salvias 7-10 days ago (healthy from a flat). I cut off the flowers to promote growth as I planted and watered them. I continued to water them in the early morning (very hot here) unless we had rain which we did. Now, the plants have some yellow leaves. Is this due to over watering or is something else going on? I would appreciate some help/ideas.
It may just be a bit of transplant shock. With a lot of heat, be careful to not wet the leaves when you water. Remove the yellowed leaves and keep an eye out for any pests or more yellowing.
You may want to post a picture of the plants for better response.
Thank you, that's what I will do. I agree that taking a picture just might make it easier for people to see what I am referring to. Good suggestion! I will go out to the garden and do just that!! I'll be back ASAP.
