Do you ever get whiplash while driving down the road looking at plants that pop over the fence line?

Every (weekday) morning and every night I drive down a two lane road and love to see what everyone has growing. Starting last year I noticed that one particular house had an all to familiar tree pop with beautiful white flowers right over the fence line. One morning, a few weeks ago, I was driving to work and looked for the Plumeria flowers BUT THEY WERE GONE, no flowers or leaves to be seen Sighing!
. I even called my wife to tell her of the horror. That afternoon on the way home I actually pulled into the neighborhood looking to see if these evil people had chopped up the tree and left it to be picked up for garbage. No limbs or flowers where on the curb Confused This brought on many sleepless nights of me tossing and turning.

Now for the good news. On my way home Wednesday night I caught a glimpse of two more Plumerias that need a little more growth but have an orange, red, yellow bloom. This to me means that the loving and caring people (not evil anymore) that live in this house most have been making new cuttings.

I can now sleep better at night

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.

A friend and I used to go to breakfast every Saturday morning and then to the Farmers Market or driving around looking at people's yards and gardens. She never hesitated to stop and ask them for a cutting or even a plant. Sometimes the reactions were hilarious, sometimes not so much.
I garden for the pollinators.

I have always enjoyed looking at what people have planted and what grows naturally in nature. My sister and I use to sometimes drive thru neighborhoods that had beautiful gardens just to view them from the car, we never stopped. One time we drove past an outstandingly landscaped place out in the countryside several times it was that fantastic, if we would have seen a vehicle or someone outdoors we would have stopped and complimented them. We also went on a couple of garden tours which is a great way to visit gardens and also visited our fabulous Minnesota Landscape Aboretum at least yearly. Even driving to work plants always would catch my eye, then later when I had time I would often drive by slowly and take a closer look.
If you want to be happy for a lifetime plant a garden!

I like to "rubber neck" while driving...not always a good idea Shrug! Have had people end up on my road looking for other places...if they ask me for directions, I always ask if they like plants. If the answer is yes they are sent on their way with some nodding
