I came across this poor empty "Plant of the Day" from over a year ago and even though the "day" is long past feel compelled to fill this sad post. I bought this plant while in my "pink period" and it has thrived on. neglect in an overcrowded bed. My only disappointment is that it is way too peachy for me and never satisfied my pink cravings. Other than that, it is a trouper.

This is one of my first ever daylily purchases in 2004 and I still love it. Even though it did better in its former location where it got a lot more sun, it still performs pretty good. But it does have less branching and bud count. One of these days when I finally get some space back, it will be moved to a sunnier home.

July 1, 2009 - nicely spaced branching in its first location in the garden with full sun. My 2009 record shows a bud count of 20. This is the year I divided it and moved some of it closer to the house. Then gave away the clump in the sun in 2011 to my sisters.

June 16, 2010 - Just getting started blooming in its new location. Great height with sturdy scapes and still good branching and bud count.

July 6, 2022 - But 10 years later, the lack of sunlight and division has taken its toll on this one. Much shorter with low branching and bud count. Blooms are still pretty, though.

June 23, 2009, 6am and 6pm - the next two pictures are the same bloom with full sun all day. It is almost fully open by 6am, but in full sunlight, it does look pretty washed out by the end of the day. The petals are curling and it has lost that beautiful green throat.

Random pictures of blooms I like. Database description says it is a "pearl pink" and I think that describes it pretty well, except sometimes it does lean more to the peach side instead of pink.

I purchased this plant just as a reminder of my trip to visit Oaks garden back in July 2013. It was the only plant I purchased at the time. I was rather new with daylilies and anything over 20 dollars was out of my price range for a plant at the time.
It has never performed well down here and I have threatened to get rid of it many times. It has been divided at least once.
