Thread OP

My one plumeria that has just started growing has had its tip chewed off by a squirrel. I am just wondering if the plant will grow a new leaf tips? I am not sure if the plant will still be ok or not. Any suggestions would be great!

Welcome! bedfordry. Oh yeah they will, most of the time you will get 2 to 3 branches. Good luck!

You certainly won't see blooms this year Crying but as Gigi said, you will have multiple tips forming.

Hi everyone,

I have a similar problem, a squirrel decided that my 3 week old cutting that just started growing would make a nice lunch. It doesn't look very promising. Does anyone think I can salvage it? I was thinking maybe if I cut it underneath the damaged area it might stand a chance?

Thanks!

I would cut right below the damaged part on the stem and it may surprise you yet!

I agree. It will branch and be just fine.
