It grows about 20-24" tall, blooms in early June, is free of iris borer, never needs staking and is luminous in the late afternoon. It was given to me by a friend some 20 years ago who got it from her grandmother. Grandma had grown it for years. I suspect it is an old variety.

Yes it does. Stronger than the newer varieties, but not at all overpowering. Very pleasant.

It will often have some of the fall's colors show up in some of the standards, and I see that in your picture. Also the standards are not always closed, and spread out a lot. Has a nice scent, and grows well with little tending.
