Tamara, I have so enjoyed your beautiful photos and sharing your experience with roses, and it is so wonderful to memorialize your family with roses! Your plants look so healthy and perfect I tip my hat to you.

I'm also loving how our rose family here reaches all around the globe. Separated by oceans, languages, cultures, etc., but sharing our love of roses Hurray!

Sharlene - I totally agree! The roses they have are really special. That's why I placed such a huge (from my perspective) order last autumn nodding

Neal - thank you so much! All my members loved roses and so do I Hurray! I actually have new pictures again for all you and I will definitely post more! nodding I'm glad that we can interact and share our love for these beautiful plants Lovey dubby

Here is Honey Dijon in all it's glory:

What a color! Beige with yellow and cameo pink tones. The outer sides of petals are more yellow toned. I love it and my sister too, on the other side two of our family members dislike it. Either you love or hate it I guess Big Grin I LOVE it Smiling

I love Honey Dijon, and plan to get it next spring for a new garden area I'm working on. Your photo makes it look as delicious as caramel! Beige, brown, rust, and bronze autumnal tones are what I have in mind. I love those colors but find them difficult to incorporate among bright saturated colors or among pastels colors, which gave me no place in the garden to show them off. They can sometimes look dirty among bright blooms. However I find they look vibrant and warm when combined with gold and bronze foliage plants. The new bed is under way Hurray!

Honey Dijon has been disappearing from commerce for a few years and is now quite difficult to find. If you have a source, Neal, grab it while you can.

I hadn't even noticed! It was so popular a few years ago, but of course selections are constantly changing. Another reason I need to try my hand at budding!

Tamara. You have a wonderful collection of roses. Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos. Honey Dijon has a unique shade, worth a place in the garden. How is the fragrance?

Neal. How about a contrast with purple shade, say Honey Dijon and Ebb Tide? Just an idea otherwise I am aware of the shape of Honey Dijon bush.

best regards

Yeah Honey Dijon can look quite wilted next to bright colors. Today my neighbour was conivnced that the rain had rotten the bloom Hilarious! But if you plant it nex to muted shades it can look good. The idea with combinig it with purple sounds also good nodding Thumbs up that's why I picked many purple irises for planting in the background in my garden.

Khalid - thank you too! Smiling Unfortunately it rains a lot at this time in our area so the scent is not really noticeable, but it's nice - it's very creamy like a lotion and a little musky Thumbs up

Khalid, that is a great idea! I plan to use bearded irises in that bed, and many of those have purple blended with beige. It would also be a good combo with Distant Drums, which I also find intriguing.

Tammy, some of your photos of Iceberg put me in mind of sugar flowers or icing roses...perhaps I'm just hungry Hilarious! I like the soft scent of Iceberg. The petals flutter in the breeze and make me think of butterflies. A simple rose with a lot of charm.

Neal: The combination of Ebb Tide, Honey Dijon and Distant Drums looks marvelous and violet irises would really add to the impact. Please do post photos when this set up is blooming.

Tamara: Your Iceberg has huge blooms. Fabulous. I have Burgundy Iceberg as I grow fragrant roses only and BI has a nice fragrance. It is always blooming.... even now when temps are touching 110*F, there are over 10 blooms on my BI bush though the size is quite small.

Looks like it will be a challenge finding Honey Dijon, and not many vendors have been carrying Distant Drums. I will be on the lookout when vendors open for orders!

Lovely Tamara!
Marilyn M is so tempting!!! I have her on a long list of 'would-like-to-haves' but space is becoming a problem. I am going to have a hard time narrowing my list down come September when it's time to order!
