We have gone to one other sale that was last year. I would have thought I was at a Black Friday event or something. People were lined up at the door about 2 hours prior to opening. Everyone had a list of the plants they wanted and which table they had to go to first. Doors opened and people just rushed in and grabbed.

Thanks @plantmania. I think? Is is cash only? Charge for parking? Entrance fee? Just thinking ahead of how much cash to bring. Indoors or out? It looks like I'm going. Thumbs up

The last one we went to, was down past Sweetwater. No charge for parking or enterance and and I believe we did pay with a credit card. You only pay at one area and not at each table.

Cheryl or any of our other locals,

It looks like it will be at http://www.hcp2.com/community/...

Few Pointers (not in any order):

# 1 - Google map is off

Thumb of 2016-06-08/PlantMania/949489 Map shows the location a few block further down than it actually is

Thumb of 2016-06-08/PlantMania/81d6d5 Closer look
If you are comming down 45 South - Take a left onto E NASA Pkwy
After you go over the first bridge over water get in your left lane.
Turn Left at the Red Light of Clear Lake Park
Follow the one way street to the right.
At the back right of the park is the Bay Area Community Center

# 2 Get there early (but make sure that I am in front of you in line Whistling )
# 3 Bring water - Accuweather is showing Saturday - High 89 , Realfeel @ 103 - we all know that @ 9:00 in the morning it will already feel like it is in the 100's. You may even want to bring an umbrella to block the sun
# 4 Depending how long you can stand outside on a hot sidewalk, some people may want to bring something to sit on - just remember that when the doors open it becomes a mad house and you have to decide what to do with the items your sitting on,
# 5 Last year they brought in shopping carts at the last minute and all were gone in a few minutes - this to say, you may want to bring something you can carry your plant(s) ( Rolling on the floor laughing - you know you'll get more than one) around , while you look at the other plants. I was thinking like a beach bag or some kind of big bag that you can throw on your shoulder.
# 6 Research the list that I pointed to earlier - mark down the item(s) you want - think about how much you are willing to pay and jot that number down by the plant - Know which table(s) that plant will be on - go to the table, look at the price, health of the plant and make your decision - take it or leave it and move on since there is NO time to dottle
# 7 Once you have your item(s) breath , take time to walk around, talk with vendors, grab a couple of seedlings for a few bucks
# 8 I love my grand-kids, I really do and would stand in front of a bullet for them - last year we had both boys (2 & 3) for the day and thought it would be fun for them to be with us - WRONG. After standing in line outside, plus dragging a stroller I was looking around for that bullet.

Some vendors will have very reasonable prices, while some might have steeper prices.

I hope this will help you (or anyone planning on the drive) out and I will update this if I forget something.
These views are mine and mine alone. I have only been to one other sale that was presented by the Plumeria Association of America. I am also not a member.
