Cinda, Grissom is a great place to visit, and it is less than 30 minutes from my home. I have a special attachment to it because I once served there on active duty. We were married in the base chapel, and our first son was born there. Lots of special memories. Thanks for posting. Smiling

We tried a couple of times, but it was so crowded people were backed up to the door. So we gave up. We actually lived in Bunker Hill at the time of my active duty. That was way before the Dutch Cafe was there. So our luxury meal was a tenderloin sandwich at Penguin Point in Peru. (When we had the extra money Sad )

I am an hour or so from Grisson AFB I have been there a few times ,

I lived for years about an hour away from Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio
Very many memories and interests from either .
Among a few One of the Original Five Flying Wings flying to be Dismantled 1966 and one of the last goverment owned still flying Eight engine WW2 Bombers

The Museum and Smithsonian Shows had been great !!! The now Ancient Project films about the U2 and Stealth Orion Projects , had been great also , that is about 1960 ,, Smiling

I appreciate your input Jim! A lot of history on display at Wright Patterson & Grissom. Glad to see you are close by.
