I have absolutely have no idea, but pretty sure they are true Lilies. They are fairly short maybe 1 foot. As in my other post, they have been there fourteen years, and very hardy. Surrounding them is mint ground cover which I do not like, and would like a flowering ground cover. Any ideas on the Lilies? and getting rid of mint? Yup, I know, probably good o'l hand pulling.

Thanks guys
Steve

I agree with Della - it makes for a nice scene.

The lilies are Dwarf Asiatic Liliums. Not sure which cultivar exactly, but maybe one of the Tiny or Pixie series.

Thank you very much for the help, much appreciated. Dwarf Asiatic... cool, I am putting in more Asiatics, even though it is a little past spring.

You're welcome, Steve. Glad I could help.

What cultivars are you planning to put in?

Australis, I have installed 12 Tiger Lily "Pink Flavor" and 9 Asiatic "Golden Stone" plants behind the Dwarf Asiatics. I got them in late, so I probably won't see anything this summer. From the picture, you may notice all the stupid stupid mint ground cover. I am removing it and sewing flowering ground cover little by little.

Golden Stones is a really pretty one. You will like it. Lilies can be very addictive so watch out.

Steve, I'm going to send you 2 or 3 bulbs of my Crimson Pixie come this October. They're exactly the same size plant, etc. as your yellow one and they really look nice surrounded by lots of green. I know you want to get rid of that mint. I had it here too for a few years, very hard to get rid of all the roots. Smiling
