On the home page there is an announcement prior to each raffle, you have plenty of time to purchase 'tickets' with your acorns.

You should get a message when you post the first photo that tells you you get two acorns. One acorn is given for each of your other photos of the same plant in different galleries. The galleries are listed when you add the photo. You chose bloom for this photo. Hope that makes some sense to you. It will eventually. Some people squirrel their nuts away for ever. You can give them out for what ever reason you like. I gave one out, once, because I laughed so long and hard at what they accidentally said. A typo.
