Not really sure what this is. As far as I know, it is a weed. The flowers resemble carnations or chrysanthemums. Location is Portland-area of Oregon.

Hollyhock is the common name. Comes is many colors. Check out the link it will show you all the names and some also have photos of the genus Alcea. http://garden.org/plants/brows...

Thank you! I agree. I just meant in the sense that it seemed to grow on it's own.
