@needrain It could be the start of some blooms coming! Feed 'em a little fertilizer. Those cuttings were all above the "Y" so they should probably bloom this season.
@Bubbles
Sandi,
Maybe this fall. It's beginning to heat up here now and I expect it will just get hotter and hotter until the cool down this fall. Those big leaves are going to transpire a lot of water!
I have a couple of brugs that didn't bloom for years. I just kept waiting for them to decide to bloom. All the rain we had lately helped wake them up. (One wasn't worth the wait!). So, fall isn't that far off.
Reminds me, I have a huge brug in a big pot. The leaves are really big and tend to cover/shade the other plants in the pot. I cut some of them in half to get a little light into the pot. Didn't affect the brug at all. It has buds on it now. Maybe you could trim a few of the big leaves on your brugs in half.
Cheryl, you are in biiig trouble now, since you know of the Brug forum
I have two serious brug growing friends and I don't think they know that or they didn't share it

Horntoad, love all the hibiscus! I'm continually throwing spiderwort over the fence, into the greenbelt. With all the rain we've had, it has rooted and make an attractive mass along the otherwise drab, rocky limestone path. I'm sure once it get hot the plants will disappear, but comeback when the cool fall weather kicks in.
@Jay love all of the hibiscus! I had a pic of H. palustris on the hibiscus forum forever for ID. No one ever answered but
I found the lost tag while packing for the move and then ordered seeds. Mine never came back this year and it was one of my faves, I love that solid soft pink
I lost my Chablis and Kopper King also
@Bubbles that ledge on the greenbelt is going to look real pretty

Thanks so much for those links. @Bubbles! That is very helpful I will be more picky about my cuttings from now on. I know this little mass of trees I have will be gone in the La Nina this winter. I will have a lot to choose from. I peeked at the leaves my one tree that doesn't get as much light as my others It looks like there will be more blooms!! Or do Ineed that Y too??

uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you Smile.
@froggardener I'll probably get ticketed for littering in the greenbelt!
@ShadyGreenThumb You will enjoy the brugs, and you will hate them. It just depends on how cool the fall weather is, and how many spider mites the hot summer winds bring. ....And yes, you'll need that "Y."
Edited to add: I just enlarged the photo of your brug leaves. Those at the top are definitely sub equal, so yes, you will get more blooms on those branches. That said, you will only see blooms on the ends of the branches that develop from a Y somewhere down on the main stem.

I have to agree with you especially on that spiderwort. I dug some wild purple ones from my in-laws place in Fred, Texas about 25 years ago, so I'm guessing this is a natural mutation that popped up. I'm hoping it can propagated it and not have it revert back.
It's not blooming yet, but after decades of being around an heirloom plant that my grandmother grew it's putting up some bloom stalks. I'm told it bloomed once while I was in college, but I didn't see it. So, buds on the ancient Sanseiveria - it's possible it's even older than I am!
