I wouldn't say it is beautiful. Alas I am a better grower of peonies than a designer of gardens. LOL I plant them where they will be happy and give me alot flowers though the bed does not look too nice as a whole. Give me so much joy to see their beautiful blooms every spring.

Some peonies pics from my garden:

Karen, is it recommended to plant them this late in the season for 5b/6a gardens, do you think? Also, is your initial list up to date? Or are you out of some of the listed varieties posted? A friend recommended peonies earlier this year to me and I'm giving some serious consideration to it...

@DogsNDaylilies, You can plant the peonies until the ground is frozen. Planting them in Sept. will allow them more time to grow feeder roots so that they have more probability of blooming next spring. That was why I wanted to get them out early esp. for zone 6 or lower. Fernleafs or fernleaf hybrids or early blooming varieties will benefit from planting early. Not so much with doubles or later blooming peonies.

At this time, I am all out of the peonies for sale. If I have peonies for sale next fall, I will definitely notify you. However, they will not be the same varieties that are offered this year.

All peonies are sold out. Many thanks to all who have supported my downsizing sale. Hope the plants will do well and bloom for you next year.

Karen sent very generous roots of the peonies ordered, and included a bonus. I couldn't believe the size of the starts she sent-- it was way beyond what I had expected.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful peonies with us Karen. Can't wait to see them bloom in my garden!

Thank you, Karen, for the enormous plants and the gift plants. I really had not thought about planting peonies until I saw your ad. I added them to my plant list, and I enjoyed reading the stats, especially the year of registration.

@profesora Thanks Gerry! I am glad that you are happy with the plants and hope that you will enjoy the blooms. The majority of the peonies that I offered in this sale has very sturdy stems so they will not flop. I think the only ones that may flop and need support are Sarah Barnhardt and Duchess de Nemours which will need support.
