Awesome, Greg! Hurray! I have a border collie mix who amuses herself greatly by sneaking up behind me when I am engrossed in something, usually gardening, and jabbing me behind my knee with her nose. I've ended up yanking off baby rosettes and different seedlings and things jumping into the air when she does that lol from this point on any little semps will be allowed to root how they please.

Heat wave days are baaack! ugh! Take care there on your side Paul!

Paul those semps in the green containers would get about 2 hours morning sun, then gets shaded by our house, then another batch of heat by 1-2 pm, then the shade of the trees.

I got another semp over the weekend, the tag says Sempervivum Sir William Lawrence, I think I will just delay repot till temps go down much later in the season.

Beautiful pot of semps tarev. Good thinking on waiting until fall cool down comes for repotting.

You too, Tarev! Stay cool. It feels like opening the dryer when I open the door to go outside, and even things in the shade feel warm to the touch. Yuck. Glad that the temperature always drops into the 70s or so most evenings in the summer here.

Nice semps! Thumbs up I am debating whether to repot some of my Commander Hay and Sunset or wait, their pots are so full that they are literally hanging over the edges and it is hard to know if they even get a drink when I water them! Waiting for the temp to drop a bit more, I only water mine once it's in the mid 80s or lower. Don't want to steam cook anyone!

I delay repotting when it is summer already and temps at its peak. Oh yes, I am so thankful when I wake up and see our temps are in the 60's, a real welcome reprieve for all the plants.

We are in a cool down again, but not as cool like before, anything below 100F is acceptable at this point. Next week ugh...all I can see are triple digits Rolling my eyes. Rolling my eyes.

I do too, Lynn. Sad it's always sad to hear another fire has started and it can be worrisome. We get them virtually every year, and this drought of ours doesn't help either. I've had ash fall on my house in years past and at times we can get so much smoke that the entire sky is red and everything is hazy. One year the mountains all around us were on fire, at night it looked like we were surrounded by volcanoes.

On a happier note, when I checked today, one of my semps that was mauled by that ground squirrel has started growing new offsets (hooray!) and in the middle of a heat wave, no less. I also think I might have one of my Canada Kate stumps beginning to grow back as well! It has the tiniest hint of green showing Hurray! fingers crossed!

These plants really aren't meant to be in warm weather... It is like me trying to grow some tender plants in my area they do okay but not thriving like when in warmer temps
I tip my hat to you.

I miss rain! It actually smells smoky outside, brought by the winds, there might be some grassfire nearby. Rolling my eyes.
