My beautiful new small Endless Summer was neglected (no water) under the care of another while we were on vacation. Needless to say it looked dead. Watering it did revive it somewhat. Question: Should I cut off all the dead leaves but not the wood or just dispose of it and get a new one? I really want to see if I can repair and recover it. Thank you

I would just remove the dead leaves, and then baby it for a while. But do not over-baby - too much loving can be just as bad as neglect. I expect it will recover. But also consider 86-ing your plant sitter!

Hi & welcome!
Once your plant perks up from being thirsty, I would strongly encourage you to find a bigger spot for it, where it has several feet on all sides of the trunk for some elbow room. ES Hydrangeas can get BIG!
The golden rule: Do to others only that which you would have done to you.

The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The 2nd best time is now. (-Unknown)
