Cosmos are happy looking blooms but this one, with the gorgeous gold, is seemingly extra happy! I have trouble growing them in Phoenix except in the early spring.

They like it in there with those hot pink roses! What a clash. Luckily, there are several yellow-gold melampodium plants in there to bridge that color gap! The cosmos self-seed: I just pull out the ones that won't fit!
