I am leaving to go on vacation for 9 days very early Saturday morning. I have a few Stellas blooming but nothing else is ready nor will anything be ready in the next 9 days (unless we have a really warm spell) except for this one plant......

Billy the Kid, looks like it is so ready to pop!!!! This is a new plant for me and I am really excited to see it bloom.... just hoping that it might pop open tomorrow.

Sometimes they will surprise you and pop open pretty quickly, much quicker than expected. Other times it takes them forever to open. I don't grow that variety so I am of no help, but don't be surprised if it opens before you leave.

Fingers crossed that it will. It looks like it could!

Well, the good news is it seems to have lots of bloom left after the first one so even if you don't get to see that one, it should still be popping along after you get back, right?

But I hope you don't have to wait that long.
