Y'know, I really can't blame the database. Geometry really wasn't my strong suit, either...

@dave , I just added an event but the locations section was truncated. Can you fix my event so that it has the following information in the locations section?

It should read:

Will be held at all four locations, choose the one closest to you:

1835 Rochester Road South,
Rochester Hills, MI 48307
Phone: (248) 651-9000

8600 Dixie Hwy,
Clarkston, MI 48348
Phone: (248) 625-9100

9100 Torrey Rd,
Grand Blanc, MI 48439
Phone: (810) 953-1111

6347 Grand River Ave,
Brighton, MI 48114
Phone: (517) 552-9300

(Bold italic formatting isn't necessary, I just did that so you would know where the information begins/ends.)

Here is the link to the event listing I created: http://garden.org/apps/events/...

Also, in the future, could you consider adding a zip code and proximity search to events? Now that Melanie ( @mellielong ) has given us an excellent motivation for adding events, I have a feeling it's going to see some significant growth in the near future. Hurray!

You should be able to edit your event. And yes, you can search by zipcode. Just go to the events front page; it's at the top.

When I searched by zipcode, it gave me all of the results; for example, the second event it listed was in Texas....which is about as far away from me as US events can get. I realized maybe I didn't word my request as accurately as I could have, though. My request is for a 'zip code and proximity' search where you can look for everything within a set radius (options could be 10, 25, 50, 100 mile, or something like that). Perhaps it could be in the form of a textbox for zip codes which allows for comma separation (in the event there is an event with multiple locations). Shrug! I realize this is probably a lesser-used part of the database and may not warrant much attention right now, but could you consider flagging it 'for future improvements'?

I'll see about that for the future. For now you can get the same effect by simply ignoring anything that comes up outside that range. Once the events in the list are further away you can simply close the window.

I just noticed that 2 of us have put in the same event....the Plumeria Society of America show. Is there a way to delete one of them or should we just let it go?
