This is the first dahlia that has actually bloomed for me and of all places I got it at the grocery store Shrug! Added the first picture to the DB as it is pretty true to the color I'm seeing in person.....the other two pics are "just because"

Thomas Edison is an old stand-by - its a great purple. I used to have it, but lost it somewhere along the way.

I also got mine Thomas Edison from a grocery store last year. It grew very well and bloomed such gorgeous flowers. I saved the clump for growing this year. But only one tuber was good and it took 2 months to sprout. Another ATP member remarked the same that TE was the last tuber to sprout for him.

I wonder if I left the pot out all winter would it come back for me?? It does get cold here even a hard freeze now and again, but usually not for long.

A friend sent me one but that along with Kelvin Floodlight were destroyed by the idiots painting my house. Stupid.... there was a perfectly good sidewalk between the house and the flower bed but they somehow managed to back up and put their big feet on top of several dahlias. Last year.
