Many spring blooming bulbs can be planted under deciduous trees and shrubs. They will bloom before the branches fill out with leaves, which will give you a pretty view earlier.

I have a front lawn filled with thousands of crocus, Siberian squill, snowdrops, Chionadoxas, and more. I wait a bit longer to do the first mowing of the season, but it's worth it.

I'm planting tulips, hyacinths and crocus in my flower beds because the lawn is off limits to me right now pout. Anyone have suggestions of what I can sow over the bulbs for later blooms after they die down?
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

Thanks Chris. I have some in the one bed but the other is open and planted full of bulbs so I'm looking into sowing seeds now or in spring to hide them in that bed.
