Does anyone recognize this wormy looking caterpillar I found in my daylily bloom?

It almost looks like what we here in Michigan call army worms, from the Gypsy Moth.

We did think on another forum that it could well be an armyworm but couldn't tell which one if it is. The gypsy moth is a hairy caterpillar, I haven't heard of its being called an armyworm before.

I was just sitting here enjoying the company, plants have a lot to say if you just take the time to listen.
