Taken in northern Utah (Provo area), alpine setting about a month ago. Due to spring runoff, the ground was really wet.

Base on wikipedia, distribution of V. album mostly in europe. And V. californicum distribution are western america and mexico.

This is a photo from yesterday. We biked up to the peak this photo is taken on and then biked aaaallll the way out to the other peak in the distance. It was a long day :-)
