What are some pests for brugs? I have several and they have round holes in the leaves and I can't find the culprit. Can it be snails, grasshoppers or something else. Any advice is needed. I know the whiteflies almost one of mine. Finally got some fungiside spray and it worked pretty well. Thanks, alda

Do you see any slime trails? They disappear into the soil before daylite- you would have to catch them predawn. Also pillbugs are known to tear up vegetation in the absence of enough decaying matter.

I often find small green caterpillars eating holes in my brug's foliage, Alda. Take your flashlight out after dark and look with the light on the backs of the leaves. I just pick them off with my fingers, there usually aren't all that many.

The other pest to watch for on brugs is spider mites. I've kept mine at bay this season just by spraying down the foliage on the plants with the hose maybe once a week if it doesn't rain. Mites hate the wet.

Aphids are the worst, thank God I've not had any the entire summer here in Louisiana . We had a humid and wet summer. Georgia was dry alot and aphids loved that.
