Thread OP

I am having a problem with newly planted arborvitae lyonsville which have spots of brown and even areas that have turned completely black ... I was told just to clip the areas out and that should take care of it ... Well guess what ... It's not and i find myself doing more clipping every day ... I realize it's turned into a hot summer but these were grown locally where I live and there was nothing wrong with them when I planted them ... It's 90 degrees plus here daily and I reside in Maryland .... Can you help me or do they need some sort of fertilizer or a miricale grow product or what do you suggest Tks in advance

Hi Jude.

Welcome!

I don't know anything about that plant, but if you could get some pictures up, it would help with figuring out what is happening.

Thanks!
