The weather has certainly taken a wrong turn on the road to Fall. After being so nice last week with the cooler temps we are back to humid with 60's nights and 80's days. The one good thing is maybe the rebloom blooms might look good enough to take a photo. Weekend was busy. Saturday was nice, started out with 44F, sunny, and a trip to Ct. for the CDS meeting to see Karol Emmerich's program. Thinking the temp down there felt like low 80's, it was just over 70 here when I got home at 5:30. Yesterday was cloudy, humid, 70's, same today. Clearing off now so Crossing Fingers! it will be nice tomorrow even if it will be warm.

Mary Stella, it is possible your daylilies haven't bloomed yet because they are seedlings. Seedlings can take 1 - 3 years to bloom in the north.

Patchy fog before 8 am. Sunny. NE wind 5 to 10 mph becoming SE in the afternoon.

Warm again today. Yesterday was my day to mow but it really didn't need it. It might not get done today either. I have a lot of little sticks to pick up.

Walnuts have been falling like crazy and there are a lot on all three trees. Too many mosquitoes to get out and pick all of them up.

86 out with the humidity in the mid 30% range which is not comfortable here. Whistling

Turned out sunny, humid and warmed up into the mid 80's today. More cleaning of the seedling beds this morning with more to do tomorrow. I'm going to be very happy when it's done!

The acorns are falling out of the trees here. Part of our tin covered woodpile is under the oak ...ting, ting...it gets annoying after awhile. Skeeters are bad too and the bees are on every blooming plant left in the garden. You can hear the big limelight hydrangeas before you get anywhere near them. They are in a part of the garden that I cleaned first ....experience let me know it was not a good idea to work near them when they have their buzz on. Cyrus knows if I yell "Run!" to go as fast as you can for the house...which he does, leaving me to fend for myself with the angry bees....

Crossing Fingers! for a bumper crop of blooms next year Mary Stella!

Mostly sunny. South wind 5 to 10 mph.

Charley,
Laughing! With 10 I'll bet the cook out was dry.

Char,
Love it that you have so many bees!

Too hot to mow today! I did get 16 stuffed peppers in the freezer yesterday. That's on top of however many I made before and froze. I diced hot peppers for the freezer too and shared half with my cousin.

When it hit around 90 this morning with 40% humidity DH and I both gave up being outside. 90 is not so bad but when the humidity is that high these desert rats melt quickly. Blinking

Started out at 51F this morning, 82 by mid afternoon with the humidity around 35% Hurray! What a difference it makes when the humidity drops. Another day of 80's expected tomorrow then...just in time for the first weather of Fall, this weekend is suppose to be lows in the 30's with highs only getting into the 50's Blinking

Sally, except for 1 or 2 years when the big bumbles went missing we've always had a good number of bees around.

I'll start a new Fall weather thread in the morning Smiling
