Is there a garden pest called 'leather jacket'? If yes how do you get rid of this particular pest?

I don't endorse the shop Smiling It just came up when I googled. Interesting information. It is a grub that eats roots. This site suggests nematodes - I've been spraying my garden with those recently. I'm using them to get rid of ants, although there are different kinds that target different bugs. I'm sure there are lots of other ways to get rid of them.

Welcome! BarbaraAnn. Yes there is a pest called a leatherjacket, but it doesn't occur everywhere. So whether you may have it, and what you can use to control it if you do, would depend on where you are located. Since you ask if there is such a pest, does that mean you think you have a problem with them? Perhaps you could give us a rough idea of where you are and what the problem is exactly.
