Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Many Waters')

I am looking for a photo of Many Waters. I don't think this is it, instead I think it could be Voice of Many Waters.

Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Voice of Many Waters')

?

It's definitely not a picture of a 1987 diploid, but since growing conditions can greatly affect the appearance of a daylily, I couldn't say that it's Voice of Many Waters, either.
Actually, it's not that far off of one of the "looks" seen on the hybridizer's website.

well I cant' find a pic of Many Waters, but I thought it had a more spidery-ish form than that.

I have Purple Waters and it is more spidery shaped, and I bought it because I am trying to ID an older one I grew and I thought it may be either purple waters or many waters, but now I cant find a pic and I am sure it looks very much like the purple waters.

I went through my old daylily catalogs and found one from Wild's dated 1991. They did not have a photo of 'Many Waters' (MW) in that edition. If I remember correctly they would put photos of different cultivars in their catalogs each year so a later or perhaps earlier catalog may have a photo of MW. Perhaps you might try emailing Wilds and asking if they have a photo they could share?

In any case, here is their full description of MW in case it might be a bit more helpful.

"A beautiful, ruffled, crimped strong lavender with mauve veining, shading, self-colored raised rib. Wide yellow green throat blends 3/4 way up on rib and nearly 1/2 way on sepals, & ends in a lovely mauve edge, green heart. By evening rib is nearly cream, edging is still visible. Good substance, branching."

Well given the parentage of Voice of Many Waters, I'd say it is a photo of that and not Many Waters. Shrug! but at any rate, I agree that it is not an '87 dip.

Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Purple Magic')

AH HA! I finally have filled in my brain gap! I have spent an hour digging through my computer trying to find a photo and lo and behold it is Purple Magic, not Purple Waters, or Many Waters. And honestly I don't even know if it's that because I don't know its ID. ! Rolling on the floor laughing I grew it about 6 years ago, but never had an ID.

Yes I know I am insane....

OK SO after seeing the Purple Waters bloom now that I bought last summer, I am sure it is not that, so I will have to locate a Purple Magic and try that one. And I don't think it is Many Water from the description.

Here is a pic of what I am looking for if I can find it's real ID, which may be Purple Magic, or not....
