Well, just so you all know that it CAN be done.............here are the pans with the 4 different kinds of poundcakes I took to our church bake sale. There is chocolate, cream cheese, blueberry, and the brown sugar/toffee.

I had trouble cutting the pound cake from the bundt pan mold. I felt like I had to follow the "lines"/indents. You know, "big piece, small piece, big piece, small piece, etc...." It was like Roulette, " I hope I get the BIG piece!" Odd pan! Glare But I remembered I own my Grandma's Jell-O mold. Obviously, Grandma was in on the family Jell-O joke against me too. Ha! It's very old and very heavy. She always made Jell-O rings from it. To show off, no doubt. Glare Anyway, that would make a nice size, but too big pound cake pan.

The pie in the middle is not a pecan pie, it is a German Chocolate pie. Oh, gads, is it rich. Richy-rich-rich-rich. Yeah, the rolls too. LOL

Never mind the church address -- I'm just going to move to Monroe! nodding

I don't think I've every actually made a pound cake, but the ones in your photo look fabulous, Anna -- guess I'm going to have to give one a try. I saw a "chocolate cherry" pound cake online the other day that looked pretty darn good...

Because we have a Meyer lemon tree in FL, I sometimes make a lemon meringue pie -- all from scratch, that is if I'm feeling really ambitious. Whistling

The pound cake at home is gone. Half to the neighbor, then took big pieces to work. I didn't quite get my fill which is a good thing. No one found the noodle!

The gift was received well. My friend is a single woman and the cake was large. So she shared it at her work. She said everyone enjoyed it. Seems she has a competition with her boss about who gets baked goodies the most often. I am glad I helped her out on that.

Thanks Sandy and Cheryl. One Meyer lemon will produce the 1/2 cup you need for a pie. When the lemons are ripe, I juice them and freeze in small ziplock plastic containers, zest them, freeze the zest and what is left goes in the compost! I use everything!

I guess if it means starting completely from scratch I'm going to have to content myself with rhubarb and apple pies! (which isn't a bad thing, I just want what I can't have Rolling on the floor laughing )
