The plant, I say plant as it was brought as a shrub, but its not the shrub on the picture of the pot. It has mid green leafs growing on 1 side only of stem and they are staggered. leaf texture is smooth- shape around 3cm long and 1 and half cm wide , very open habit, long branches that feel as they will be woody when older with whippy ends. Around 1meter high from last years growth, new growth is from metre to 2meters long. That arch out from main stems, it looks as though it could be a climber, any help please appresheated

Welcome!

Any chance you could get a picture of it? And maybe some location information on where you are?

Yes, please. A picture would be most helpful as would your location.

there is no way to id without a picture, and your location. Are you in Texas or India? I'm all ears!
I'd love to see a pic of it having the leaves only on one side of the branch Thumbs up

Welcome! Polly. I'm assuming you aren't in the United States since your measurements are in metric so I agree we do need to know where you are even if only the country. Without knowing where you are it's hard to even take a guess.
