OFFER CLOSED UNTIL NEXT YEAR 2012

Ok, this is an experimental offer and can be withdrawn at any time.

My semps and jovis are eating me out of house and home. I have too many and must thin my collection. I have about 150 named varieties in my collection at this time and there is just no room to allow the populations of these varieties to continue to expand. Therefore I am offering a free box of semps and/or jovis and maybe some sedum according to the following rules.

1) You will be expected to pay postage for shipping. Postage paid must be in the form of Forever Stamps.

2) Linda from Texas gets first shot. I also have a few promised trades which will get priority. All others will be first come, first served.

3) I can refuse anybody with or without reason or withdraw this offer at any time. You agree to go away quietly if you are unhappy for any reason. I will agree to not hold you responsible for postage if you have a complaint that makes good sense to me.

4) You will post your interest here (in this thread) to establish first come/first served. In your post or an accompanying c-mail, you will list the names of the semps, jovis & sedums that you have in your collection or that you do NOT want. When I pack your box, I will make an effort to pack sempervivum, jovibarba and an occasional sedum that is not on your list. All plants will be named and packed individually in bags according to name. I may, if appropriate, pack a single selection of a No-ID variety if I am getting rid of that variety, but the majority of your box will be bagged and tagged named varieties. My choice but I will try to only pack items not on your list.

5) I will ship out plants that I am thinning from my collection because I have too many and no more space to keep them. That means you may get a couple of larger clumps, just some offsets or a mix in between, but I'll fill the box. In your post or c-mail, please indicate if your are looking for a lot of variety or a lot of just a few of the same kind. I'll do my best to accommodate, subject to what I have available.

6) Box will likely be an 8 x 8 x 8 Priority Box which typically ships in the $5.00-$8.00 range, depending on your location.

7) I would ask that you respond with payment for postage promptly after you receive your package, as funds are short for doing this. However, I will not be responsible for anybody sending postage in advance. Please wait until after you receive your package. This is because, due to family responsibilities, I do not know how fast I will be able to do this and I don't want anybody to be unhappy over a slow response. I will do my best to send you a c-mail a couple of days before shipping. You agree to send me a c-mail indicating any period of time when you will be unavailable to receive the package.

8) One final limitation: You must have been a registered, active member of this Cubit as of February 1, 2011 to participate in this offer. This limitation is being put in place to prevent an overwhelming response or people joining just to get free plants. I'll try to repeat the offer next year for new members or members who did not participate this year. You also must be a US resident.

That's all I can think of at the moment. The semps and jovis are really nice this year and I have to place limits on the space occupied by the collection.

I would so love to be part of this rehoming venture.
I love NOIDs and I love sedums, so I am open to anything.
I am trying to fill a little postage size rock garden front yard, and all plants are welcome.
Might not make the Feb. cut off, don't quite remember when I joined, definitely won't be offended if I have to wait until next year.
What an exciting idea.
Thanks for the chance.

What a wonderful offer
Please consider me . I am not a collector so they do not have to have names . I have been working on a rock garden for 3 years now and it lacks plants. I have some sedum and two type hen and chicks. some new plants would give my rocky space a new look .
Thanks
Cinda

Sandi, Let's give it a few weeks and see how it goes. Perhaps I'll have to change the rules a bit...

Not many takers so far as you can see. Sad

Aww Twit. I was wanting to give others a chance. I just thought most people were cmailing you. I have so much in pots now that I need to get in the ground. But, if the fish don't start biting soon perhaps we'll have to talk! Whistling

I am interested in both the semps and the sedum. I have been a member since last Fall,. I am not picky, but I have many semps in my garden that I mostly have in pots but some in the ground. I am also making a wall sculpture using metal venting and a Semper Buddha Topiary that will take 3 or 4 seasons to fill in. So I can take whichver that makes sense for you to share. Here's a initial photo of his first season. Thumb of 2011-06-09/macguyver/31a12d

Every time I do that, I end up with lots of stuff I can't make fit together and an empty wallet! I have had to cut back on my projects...I have great ideas (sometimes) but being able to get everything together seems to escape me.

I am also one of those people who aren't afraid to tear anything apart but rarely does it go back together quite right!

Hi Twit, what a kind offer. I am very interested, if the offer is still available.
I joined this cubit in May or June of 2010.
I will happily , promptly pay postage for shipping. But I'll need you to explain this. "Postage paid must be in the form of Forever Stamps."
I would be happy with a lot of variety. I am basically starting my collection over again, because I lost a lot of them due to placement and weather. With Lynn's guidance, that problem has been resolved.
I would be thrilled with whatever you send.
I just place an order on the co op of 23 plugs, semps, jovi's and sedum. Only one of each, so I certainly don't mind if what you send duplicates something I've ordered.

I think that's it. Do you still want me to cmail you?

Thanks
Debbie

Debbie, Yes, you will need to c-mail your address.

Forever Stamps are first class postage stamps sold by the post office that are always valid for a first class envelope, even if the price of postage goes up. The are the same price as the current first class stamp, except that they come with a price guarantee.

My list to date and in order:

Sherri
Gardengus
Picklepuf
Enidcandles
Insiderart
Macguyver
Debbie

But most have not sent their list or address. Confused

Hey Twit! My list was long! Over 100 varieties! Zoinks! So I'll wait until everyone else goes first, then we'll see. (Says the greedy little semp collector! Drooling ) Do you have very many hirtas? There are a couple for which I'm looking.
