I think these are roots coming out all over. Can I cut the plant in these areas, wait a few days, & stick the whole piece in soil?

I'd cut off the whole section of the 2 pieces that appear to be growing upwards. Wait weeks, not days before potting up the pieces. Gene

It does not look like A. Rickrack.
The notches are not deep enough.
It is probably an Epiphyllum.
You will know when it flowers.
This plant always makes air roots allover.
It is an air plant that naturally grows in the tree branches.
You can curt it up into pieces or leave it whole to become a large cluster.
