you can see clearly in pic one that there are 2 different colors on the same plant and when they open the pollen does not look the same.......this is on ONE bulb

the last 2 fascinated but you can really see the 2 colors on them..

there are 6 for sure of the same type and they are all doing the same thing...
2 colors and 2 different stamen in the center
weird not seen this before

there are no tulips in this bed at all
the rest of the lilies are coming up looking normal but none have bloomed yet
just wander if it is a virus of some type??

No Dave. You just have a tramp bulb of a different cultivar that hitchhiked hidden with you Hotline. What Pat is talking about is different and very real. It happens sometimes with certain cultivars more than others. New methods of high speed cloning are thought to contribute to this problem as well.

Really very interesting Lorn.
Does that mean it will always bloom this way then in the future too??
clearly two colors looks very odd on a plant.........to be honest..
is there a name for this Lorn??
