Cooler mornings, cooling evenings, new lawns, turning leaves (yes, we do have some of those in the southwestern states!). Bring out the mukluks and comforters!

Anything else we should be thinking about?

I vowed last year I wasn't going to overseed my lawn myself. The fellow I asked to do the job doesn't seem interested (I offered $100) so, I'm doing it myself. Ugh. Lots of work but it'll get done!

I am so looking forward to FALL!! Hurray! I have been cleaning up and rearranging some pots, Put down a red colored wood mulch around the half circle where my 3-tiered fountain sits. That really brightened up that area which is next to the lawn. Thumbs up The green beans I planted in a big tub are all a couple inches high now. Smiling

I do not overseed with rye anymore because they use three of the winter months to figure our sewer bill for the year which means I try to use little water then. Crying I really miss that rye color. I will have to enjoy photos of yours Susie ! Whistling

Love that color daylily, beautiful photo. Big Grin

The thread "October Challenge ~ Create Tin Garden Art" in Garden Art forum

Become a can hoarder for a couple for a couple of months! I use few cans but have been saving them for 3 months. For October we are making tin garden art objects and for November, Sharon is teaching us how to make nutcrackers, with tin cans as the skeleton.

Luv your new avatar, Boo.

Tin cans, huh? The only cans I have are dog food cans. Do you want some? Corks?

I'll check out your link. I guess anyone who's into garden art will be inspired by ways to recycle cans.

One year ago tomorrow 10/5 we had that monster hail storm.

New roofs, new A/Cs, new paint jobs, dented cars, broken windows, burglar alarms going off... what a day!

Yea Brittany!
How are you and Madeleine? Any day now? Was the due date 10/13? I can't wait to meet her.

Back from Sacramento. I have something for her. She'll love them, I think. I'll be in touch!
