I recently posted two pictures of "Happy Treasure" on this site. I was looking over the description and comparing this plant to other pictures and I am not sure of the identity. I have gotten a lot of daylilies from valley of the daylilies over the years and found that several from each order are wrong. Using his codes for where the plants are located I have been able to identify some as plants that were nearby. Some I just have to throw away. I think this one is correct, but if anyone has happy treasure and can verify its identity for me then I would feel better about it. I really like it. I was a surprise when it first bloomed. The flower holds up well in this Alabama heat. I compared it to Happy Reward, which is similar, but they look different to me.

WHat is the bloom size for you? Your image resembles Beautiful Edgings but blooms are larger than the registered 4.5" of this.

Julie - That is funny that you said that, because that is EXACTLY what I thought when I saw the photos in the Plant Database.

I have Beautiful Edgings also. This flower is much bigger and looks very different to me. The color is only at the very tips of the long petals. Beautiful Edgings has color all along the edge of the petals and sometimes even on the sepals. Thanks for the comments.

Well, I took photos of 'Beautiful Edgings' this morning, and sad to say, it did not have beautiful edgings anywhere on it. Mine is a young plant and some days it has a little bit of edging, but it has not yet developed anything I would describe as "Beautiful Edgings", maybe next year.

Larry, if it is hot, color fades on the best of plants. Maybe that's what happened.

Well, I was out pretty early this morning, and it was not all that hot. It has shown more edging on other days, but if the plant can't take the heat here, it needs to get out of the kitchen. Rolling on the floor laughing

I thought i had the wrong plant with beautiful edgings when i first planted it. It just stayed white. But each year it has gotten more and more shade and it has gotten prettier each year. Visually eye catching when it blooms correctly. One of my favorite polychromes is a plant i did not pick out. Someone sent it as an extra plant. It is gorgeous and unique. It is "Fruit Loops" by Wild. Once again though, back to my question and responses, i know that my "HAPPY TREASURE" isn't beautiful edgings.
