I thought I was done with rebloom, but yesterday I saw a new scape on 'Aztec Firebird'. Not sure it has time to bloom before we start getting frosts, but it's in a container and I may move it close to the garage so I can slip it inside if we have any.
On a rebloom scape of a 'Wild Horses' seedling, there is a pod. I think any seeds would be from a self cross because when the pod formed I would only have had diploid plants blooming at the same time and the seedling should be a tetraploid plant. That makes me curious about the seeds. In order to reach maturity, it will also probably have to be protected from the weather until it's mature. The container is more manageable in terms of its size, but it's a large, glazed, SLICK ceramic container that I don't want to break (they really should build hand holds into these things). The crowd of plants indoors for the winter months always results in a lot of shuffling around and that puts anything that can break in some danger. Rats
