other are the other just hybrids..... not really a clone is what I am trying to say......
The reason that I wandered this is you see Stargazers all over but when you look up the Leslie Woodruff Stargazer it far more beautiful. I have stargazers in the garden but wander if a few Leslie Woodruff would be a good addition here. Stargazer is the first lily I got in cut flowers years ago and fell in love with them at that time. I only just started to get allergic to the oriental lilies once I planted a ton of them out here......... I had potted ones in the house and they had to all move out to the outside world.......
I do not notice my allergies acting up with Lankon at all..........which is really strange..........but Stargazer and some of the others are really bad for allergies for me. Also do not seem to be allergic to smell of Regale...........but maybe because most of the smell comes at night with the species I was told.......
IF any one has a pic of Leslie Woodruff Stargazer in the garden would love to see a pic of them blooming
'Stargazer' is a unique cultivar oriental lily. It seems to be the place where random oriental lilies are dumped and called' Stargazer', though they are not truly the clone of 'Stargazer' that is registered.
thanks Tracey.........so is it best then to get Leslie Woodruff's bulbs then from a breeder............
I think I am going to try a few and see what difference it is when they bloom here.....
they are beautiful really.......
although I have no seen a real one in bloom yet of the Leslie Woodruff type
