Please help. I am a beginner at flower husbandry, and after receiving my first few double KO roses for my birthday in April I have recently began to notice an abundance of red foliage. While I know red pigmented leaves can show growth, it just seems too much and the leaves seem a feathery in my opinion.

After reading about RRD for the past couple of hours I am almost certain it has it, but again I am not sure because I have never seen RRD in person before, and I would be distraught if my first roses did contract this disease.

Please help diagnose the underlying problem as I am desperate to help my flowers, and if they do have it is possible for me to just cut a few shoots away..

Welcome! to NGA

That's happy, husky new growth coming up.

Rose Rosette usually causes excessive thorniness as well as red witches broom foliage. So far I don't think this growth is really typical of the disease. Is there a lot of Rose Rosette in your area? If not I might watch the plants for a couple more days to see whether the red growth turns into normal leaves.

Hurray! This is really great to hear! I'll keep an eye out on them to see how they grow, but thank you so much!
