Thanks. Another Question: Do you have a Hosta Liberty? I am interested in how tall and wide it is, how long you have had it.... things like that. Thank You!

Here's my 'Liberty'. I've not measured it, but it's the largest plant in my city garden. The registration info on it says 39"w x 39"h and it's probably close. I've had it since 2009 but I started with one in a gallon-size pot. Photo taken a couple of days ago.

Is the Patriot a vase-shaped hosta? (I could google it but what's the fun in that?) Big Grin

I think Patriot is more of a mound form, but it's still a pretty one!

@mumlabo Your hostas are amazing!!! I have a heavily wooded front yard (valley-ish) and am hoping to create a nice hosta garden. As soon as DH confirms there are no critters or wasp/hornet nests.

As a novice, I started off with some Patriots in another area to see what happens when the Georgia heat hits in August/September. I'm hoping for good luck because it really brightens up an otherwise very plain area.

@Rose1656 Thanks so much! That is encouraging because I want it to get big! Thumbs up

Unfortunately, one of the two hostas didn't grow back. Did you have to wait until the next season for it to come back or is it possible the rabbits shocked the plant enough that it died? (The other one has been growing all along and it's doing okay considering it was eaten to the ground!)

I don't think you can beat Regal Splendor for a good sized (not HUGE) vase shaped clump hosta. I am also including a picture of my Liberty which is 4-5 years old. It measures 22-24" tall and about the same wide.
