Somebody has to start this for our whole new month! I can't post any as it's raining too hard for me to get out to the gardens. I can see blooms out there, but I can't get to them....I'll bet some of you have July pix of gorgeous blooms already. Bring it on!

It's hard to believe the year is half over and bloom season is dwindling. Bloom today.

I wish it was raining too hard to go out here. May and June are our highest average rainfall months and we just ended June with 1.1 inches of rain after only 2 inches in May.
The electric bill is up from the water well and the Daylilies look great with more rebloom than ever around here.
I spent some picture time in the beds with older Daylilies and still appreciate the beauty of the self colors.

Nice to be able to say I will not show any repeats that have been shown already....this month!
Being it is the first day of July the garden seemed to have noticed it, because I could for the first time this season see a very noticeable dropoff in the number of plants blooming and the number of blooms per plant. I do think all of these have been shown multiple times, and that is sort of the point, some of these plants have just performed way beyond my expectations this year.

Been away and came home yesterday find the plants are loaded with tarnished plant bugs. Thought I would post these anyway before cutting short scapes, which are all blooming backwards and sideways today. Also noticed a lot of stunted scapes on cv's which were not stunted last year. I suspect the established cv's are confused by the record breaking fall and winter '15 temps. Daffodils and Lilac bloomed Thanksgiving. For more cheap entertainment, the Kwanso is back in a big way after digging it out a couple decades ago.
