Hello!

I have this succulent placed in direct light on a Western window sill, and I just noticed that towards the center of it it is a brownish color. I was wondering if that was normal or what I should do about it! Thank you!

If all these plants were doing well before you moved them to the west window, I would say move them out of the west window.

Sunlight that passes through a window is not direct because regular window glass cuts most of the UV and some of the visible light. I would not think a west facing window would present any problems for your plant given good ventilation and moderate temperatures. I have a bunch of succulents growing by a SW-facing window that gets hours of sun year round and the extra light has never presented a problem (if anything, it seems to be the best location in the house for this sort of thing).

The color does not look problematic to me. The thing you want to try to avoid is overwatering, given the succulent is indoors and the mix looks relatively rich. Maybe every couple of weeks? That's when I water my indoor Haworthias.
