My DDs plumeria California Sunset that we bought her last year at Jungle Jack's is doing spectacular! It has multiple info on multiple tips. She plunked it into its future home with good intentions. She didn't repot it. Now a strong root has grown through the bottom of the pot holding it to the soil. Should I leave it be? Or should and cut the pot out? FWIW is blooming right now.

I would recommend to leave it be for now, and repot in the early spring.

Cheryl, you had me for a minute there. My newly named seedlings for the most part are named 'DD's.......whatever. The first one was Plumeria rubra 'DD's Delight'. I first thought, oh my God, there is a DD's California Sunset. OK, I'm slow and getting slower by the year. Sighing! I've had lots of practice. Whistling

Enough of that. Am I seeing a pot within a pot?

Funny, Ken.
Yes. When we purchased the tree last summer the drought and hot weather was brutal in San Diego. There was inflo and the cutting had rooted well. Rather than disturb it, I placed it in the large pot of soil to help keep it moist in the little pot.(I do this with my own plants in the yard so they can be easily uprooted for winter protection) The tree bloomed beautifully last summer. DD got busy with her new job and didn't get it transplant it. So it seems it did well double potted so far. There's inflo on three of eight tips!
