Here is the background story:

Last month I wanted to buy a special birthday gift for a special friend who has everything he needs, except for daylily Jurassic Pink.

I wrote to Michele because she has sold it on LA, but she wrote back that she did not have any. I wrote to James Hall, but no answer. I wrote to Abundantdaylily, but no answer.

I looked up Floyd Cove, and found that they had it. I called, a nice woman answered, and I told her about wanting to buy Jurassic Pink for my friend's July birthday. She told me that they stopped shipping over a month ago, but would see what she could do. She understood my need to have this special daylily. I ordered one for my friend and one for me. Less than a week later, the package arrived with the beautiful fans of Jurassic Pink and a gift plant, Guy's Grand Illusion. I was elated with such a gift! The gift cost a lot more than my entire order!

Sounds like a wonderful experience! The lady you ordered from was probably Karen Pierce... I know she sometimes has great prices on some special plants that they are looking to move to make room (I have seen her list some on one of the FB daylily sale groups). I bought Fried Green Tomatoes from her (Floyd Cove) last weekend via that FB group and the order arrived on Friday - nice plant and a great gift of one of their 2015 introductions, Venetian Pools. I don't know how expensive it is, but the two pictures of it I found online are beautiful. I looked at the pictures in the catalog that was included with my order - they have some spectacular looking introductions!

What a nice experience! Floyd Cove's previous owners were great to deal with too.

Seems like they have their customer service down pat . I ordered from Floyd Cove for the first time this spring, and I will happily order from them again. They sent huge fans with awesome roots, plus two bonuses that I have absolutely loved!
