RCanada. Wow, most informative!!! Not taking issue with anything you have said, nor could I !! I have 19 adeniums, all grown from seed purchased on the Internet, from eBay, and Amazon is into the frey as well now. They are almost eight years old now, and some 1' tall. Some have bloomed, single multiple flowers, stunning to me, but always the same pink single flowers. If you are aware of any Canadian sources to purchase live adeniums from, I would certainly love to know of same and I think Mongerj would as well - I have never found one yet! With respect to "reputable" adenium seed sellers, I have never run into one yet from either Thailand or China. Perhaps you know differently! They advertise everything from Blue to Blue and Red and on and on! Same thing with Rose seeds! I have seen my exact picture of "HT. Harry Wheatcroft" which I entered in the 2017 garde.org photo contest, along with the offering of seeds from same for sale! "They" advertise bright blue roses, anything and everything, because it is a "sellers" market, and we have no idea what we are purchasing! I watched a couple of YouTube videos on adeniums out of Florida the other day, and a grafting one fromThailand. In the latter case, they would take 1/2" diameter cuttings from one plant and graft same unto another coloured plant, and seal the cut with "crazy glue"! This is nothing new to you, but I thought quite fascinating, and if I ever get a "different" coloured adenium, I am going to try it! For eight years I have been doing the "bring them in under lights in the Winter, and take them outside in late Spring. I have three Bouganvillea in bloom right now, and a Persian lime with three good sized fruit. I also have 8 or 9 plumerias, but I doubt I will live long enough to see one of those bloom!! LOL. While I understand the need to regulate some live plants/roots/bulbs being imported into our adjacent countries, it has gotten a little bit absurd! If a Florida adenium dealer sold me a plant and I brought it into Canada "declared" do they think that it could wipe out the entire population of adenium plants in Canada because of some transmittable virus, etc? I would like to know how that is possible??? It is sooooooo bad now, that the last time entering the US, I had to either eat an apple in my carry-on luggage, or throw it in the garbage right then! I'm certain, the same thing coming into Canada for Americans!!! What is going on in this World???
