I think we have another plant that needs looking at. Sempervivum 'Mystic' by David T. Ford.
Notice how wide the leaves are on 'Mystic', and the coloring at different times of the year.

I have a plant that came from Fernwood but it hasn't been the best doer for me (partly my fault). Will try to get photos.

I have more pictures of my 'Mystic' but quite sure the leaves are to long and narrow to be the real deal. It is located in part shade but looks wrong.
I will try to load them tomorrow night.

Mystic -- not sure where it came from.

Yikes. That one is a mess, isn't it? Mine is sort of medium-sized green with red bases and slightly incurved narrow leaves. Because mine came from Fernwood and matches Beatrix's, I'm thinking it must be right. Mine has never really looked purple or wide and squatty.

I agree Kevin. This really has no resemblance to 'Mystic'. I think this is another one that is floating around with an incorrect name attached to it.
Sure wish we knew where yours came from Julia. It is a pretty semp.

So my photos depict an incorrect Mystic too? ...I got my Mystic from a nursery that gave me an incorrect Nightwood and incorrect Banderii.

Next time I see you I'll give you a correct Nightwood Bev, but remind me! Mine has done well. It is a fine plant.

Mystic is struggling for me so maybe you don't want it anyway!
