Helli, I would like to know what this weed or ground cover is that's growing in my lawn like a mat. I do like it wish it was all that instead of grass. I know I'm weird.

I don't have any input about your plant, but don't think your wish is weird at all. Not everyone wants to tend a monoculture of grass. Very expensive, time-consuming, noisy, and no flowers. I'm working on getting rid of ours in favor of anything else that doesn't need to be mowed.

thyme has a strong scent when you rub the leaves. So does oregano.

That's a good clue. Can't remember hearing a Sedum described as having a scent at all.
